About Me

August 22, 2009

I have a different way of looking at life and I think that comes out in my portraits. I look to capture the naturalness of my subject. You
won’t see the traditional ‘say cheese’ photos from me. I find true beauty in the everyday and that is what I strive to portray in my portraits.

I have had an interest in photography for as long as I can remember. I can still remember
getting my first Canon Rebel 35mm. My favorite days in junior high were when we made the
cameras out of oatmeal containers and then spent a few days in the dark room developing them.

I’m often asked why I am a photographer, and well that answer is simple…MY CHILDREN.  I wanted to capture everything …every memory I could…and thus,  a passion, or maybe more accurately an obsession, was born.

I am so grateful to my friends and family for giving me the inspiration and encouragement
to have a career that I am truly passionate about.
